Section 0 - Introduction

Following the recent guide detailing the integration for Oracle Engagement Cloud and Oracle Commerce Cloud using Oracle Integration Cloud which was released for version 19, we decided it would be useful to have a step by step screenshot walk-through to assist users of these platforms setting up their integration.

The integration documentation is found within the Oracle Commerce Cloud documentation here  and downloaded as a pdf via Oracle Support titled “Integrating Oracle Commerce Cloud and Oracle Customer Experience Cloud for Comms (Doc ID 2541059.1)”.  The integration documentation should be seen as the primary guide and this blog as an additional aide.

This step-by-step series will not cover an introduction to the services mentioned, nor will it go into detail about how the integration works as this is covered in the integration paper.

This series of blog articles has 3 sections in line with the main documentation found here .

  1. Configuration of Oracle Engagement Cloud
  2. Configuration of Integration Cloud
  3. Configuration of Oracle Commerce Cloud

Guidance around the user role privileges and a troubleshooting section will be given in each section.

This series requires no coding or knowledge of programming languages. The intended audience however is aimed at system integrators, partners or technical staff. Some of the sections do require knowledge of making REST calls through a GUI.

Please note:

  • The service names Oracle Engagement Cloud for Communications and Oracle Customer Experience Cloud for Communications will be used interchangeably throughout the document but refer to the same service offering.
  • Keep in mind that the integration document focuses only on the Telco aspects of this integration and describes how to configure integrations of Oracle Commerce Cloud with Oracle Customer Experience Cloud for Communications. The integration configuration described presents just one example of how to set it should be set up. For information about other possible configuration options, refer to the documentation for those specific products.
  • If there are sections that you feel need screenshots, please let us know and we can update this guide.
