Introduction

This document is an introduction to Oracle GoldenGate’s best practices and guidelines for instantiation of a target database from an Oracle Source Database.

The method outlined in this document will allow the customer to start Replicat at a specific point in the trail file created by Extract by using CSN number so the Replicat will not hit any "duplicate" records.
