The OCI Core Landing Zone has helped many people get a secure start in Oracle Cloud. However, for new users it is another framework to learn on top of what feels like a thousand other concepts when diving into the cloud for the first time. Oracle LiveLabs are created to help users learn how to use Oracle technologies by guiding them through hands-on labs on how to crest that initial learning curve. Once comfortable with the basics, you will be able to begin experimenting and customizing to make magic via Oracle Cloud.

How Do I Get to the Labs?
The labs can be found by following this link to the Oracle LiveLabs site. From there, click the green “Start” button and follow the steps in the labs. The hands on lab is self-paced and will take an estimated 90 minutes from start to finish.
Are there Pre-requisites to the Labs? Do I Need OCI?
There are no pre-requisites to the labs. The OCI Core Landing Zone will be deployed in your own tenancy at no cost. If you do not have a tenancy, the labs will walk you through creation of a trial tenancy which will have a trial budget before converting to a free tier tenancy.
What If I Have Questions?
You can ask questions a few ways. First, check the “Need Help?” section of the LiveLab. Second, browse the OCI Core Landing Zone GitHub page and see if there are any answers on there. If the problem is a bug or feature request, you can submit it in the issues page which is monitored by the Landing Zone team. Finally, you can email my address through my contacts at the top of this page with any feedback or questions.
Thanks for taking the time to read this article, and we hope that the LiveLab and Landing Zone are able to accelerate your cloud journey!
